This Cookie Policy explains how G & A Precision Engineering Limited (“G&A”, “we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on www.gnaengineering.co.uk (the “Site”). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies and similar technologies?

1.1 Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.

1.2 Some of the things described in this policy are not cookies in the strict sense but other ways of storing information on your device, such as your browser’s local storage. The law treats these the same way as cookies, and so do we. Where this policy says we will not store something without your consent, that applies to local storage just as it does to cookies. For simplicity we refer to all of them as “cookies” below.

2. Cookies we use

2.1 The table below lists everything the Site can store on your device, and whether we need your consent first.

Google Maps cookiesThe map on our Contact page does not load until you click “Load map”. If you click it, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies.Your click is your consent. Nothing is sent to Google unless you ask for the map.Set by Google; varies

2.2 We do not use any advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not sell or share your information with advertisers. Google Analytics offers advertising and remarketing features; we have those switched off, and the Site tells Google to keep them off every time it loads.

2.3 A note on reCAPTCHA, in the interests of being straightforward: we rely on it being necessary to protect our enquiry form from abuse, which is why it is not behind the consent banner. Views differ on whether that is the right analysis. We have limited it to the single page that actually has a form, so it does not follow you around the rest of the Site.

3. Cookie consent

3.1 When you first visit the Site we show a banner asking whether you accept analytics cookies. No analytics cookies are set, and Google Analytics is not loaded at all, unless and until you accept.

3.2 You can accept or reject with a single click, and rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting. If you reject, we set no analytics cookies whatsoever; we only record the fact that you said no, so that we do not keep asking.

3.3 You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. If you withdraw consent after having accepted, we delete the Google Analytics cookies from your device.

3.4 We will ask you again from time to time (roughly every six months) so that your choice stays current rather than being treated as permanent.

4. Managing cookies

4.1 Most web browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. Refusing strictly necessary cookies may affect how parts of the Site work. Instructions for managing cookies are usually found in your browser’s “Help”, “Tools” or “Settings” menu.

4.2 Your browser settings work independently of the choice you make in our banner. If you block cookies in your browser, that takes effect regardless of what you have told us.

5. Changes to this policy

5.1 We may update this Cookie Policy if the cookies we use change. Please check back periodically.

5.2 This policy was last updated on 17 July 2026.
